General Motors is seeking a

Supply Chain Business Analyst

to join the GPSC Customer Care and Aftersales (CCA) Supplier Management team in Warren, MI. This role is pivotal in driving supplier collaboration, system governance, and process innovation across GM’s global supply chain. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, with a passion for solving complex supply chain challenges and deploying new technologies.

As a Business Analyst, you will lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance Global Supply Chain, improve supply chain efficiency, and strengthen communication across teams—driving greater alignment, cohesion, and business impact. You’ll serve as a liaison between business and IT, manage system governance, identify and implement business process changes and efficiencies, and drive long-term projects to completion—on time and within budget—delivering new business functionality and measurable improvements. The ideal candidate will work efficiently with internal and external teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead supplier onboarding, scorecard management, and system access governance

Manage supplier settings (lead times, shutdown dates) and cost recovery processes

Analyze workflows, document SOPs, and implement process improvements using applying continuous improvement methodologies driving operational excellence

Partner with IT and IT facing resources on system development, testing, deployment, and training

Troubleshoot system issues and create help desk tickets

Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI, Cognos, SQL, and Excel

Analyze data for improved decision making

Perform ad hoc data draws and custom reporting

Lead cross-functional projects and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations

Resolve supplier backorders, past dues, and capacity constraints through creative solutions

Summarize and communicate critical issues and resolutions to leadership

Required Qualifications

3+ years of exp in Supply Chain or Data Analytics

Bachelor's degree required

Skilled in SQL, Power BI, Cognos, Microsoft Access, and Databricks

High analytical capability and proficiency in MS Office Suite

Proven ability to lead long-term projects and deliver results

Knowledge of Supply Chain strategies and theories

Experience with supplier performance metrics, transitions, and issue resolution

Ability to manage timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations

Experience with tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar

Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities

Demonstrated success as a change agent driving innovation and process transformation

Proven ability to own the outcome and work with urgency to deliver business results in an accelerated time‑frame

Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with EDI troubleshooting and system testing

Experience with COGNOS development and advanced data mining

Expertise in dashboard creation and cloud-based analytics platforms like Databricks

Proficiency in Microsoft Access, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)

Knowledge of GPSC and CCA processes, Engineering Change, and new, current, and past model follow-up

Experience with CCA systems (IMS, SSCP, SPOC, GPCT) and data lakes (ATDS, BPS, CCA/DA, EUC)

Hands‑on experience with SSCP and CCA data lakes

Practical experience with additional CCA systems including GPCT, SPOC, Horizon

Knowledge of other CCA systems such as PAL, Mercia, etc

Established ability to work with cloud-based unified analytics platforms such as Databricks, Dremio, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or Microsoft Azure Synapse

Ability to perform ad hoc data draws and custom reporting

Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, OpEx

Strong project ownership and ability to execute long‑term initiatives with measurable impact
