Purpose
The Manager, Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management contributes to the overall success of Customer Insights, Data and Analytics (CID&A) by working with the Director and Senior Manager, Regulatory Program Management to support the delivery of the RCM program including the implementation of risk management controls, audits, regulatory issues management, compliance matters, privacy, business continuity, and other functions.
What You’ll Do
Facilitate end-to-end implementation of Compliance RCM Controls Program in alignment with OSFI E-13 Guideline, including ad-hoc projects supporting RCM implementation in CIDA.
Create and manage a portfolio view of key operational processes in CID&A and support the creation of SLAs and KPIs, review processes end-to-end, and champion process optimization.
Maintain the regulatory compliance universe, including regulatory compliance issue management, training, monitoring & testing activities.
Act as main point of contact in CID&A for audit and second line, responsible for working across CID&A stakeholders in tracking and reporting all findings and issues.
Oversee change events that may necessitate the review of the RCM program artifacts.
Ensure documentation and procedures are updated to reflect changes in requirements.
Facilitate reporting to Senior Executives, providing clear understanding of exposure to regulatory compliance risks and the adequacy of controls to manage those risks.
Make prudent/informed decisions within assigned limits and escalate any exceptions/issues along with recommendations and/or solutions to senior management as appropriate.
Collaborate with key stakeholders across the enterprise (Data & AI Risk, Global Compliance, Chief Data Office, Audit, etc.) to maximize the efficiency of CIDA’s RCM program.
Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
Create an environment that pursues effective and efficient operations of your respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls.
Direct day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits.
Communicate the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout your teams.
Coach and develop your team to bring out their best potential and continual improvement.
What You’ll Bring
Demonstrated experience delivering complex regulatory, risk or compliance transformation initiatives.
Strong understanding of enterprise risk frameworks, regulatory change and governance environments.
Experience operating in a highly regulated industry with tight timelines and supervisory oversight.
Experience coaching teams to higher performance with processes and skill building.
Well-developed communication skills including precise articulation of ideas and opinions.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong project management skills.
Strong working knowledge of industry practices.
Strong analytical, planning and reporting abilities.
University degree or equivalent college certification.
Internal Controls, Compliance or Audit background.
Experience with JIRA, Confluence, CA-PPM, MS Project and related project delivery methodologies (asset).
Experience with Process Engineering and Optimization.
Hands‑on experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or other data visualization tools.
Working knowledge in Spanish is a plus.
