Position Purpose
Responsible for providing instruction support in the classroom, working one‑on‑one and in groups with students to reinforce lessons and curriculum; organizing and maintaining student data; participating in evening functions; assisting with student testing, lunch and recess duties; and keeping an inventory of equipment and supplies.
Essential Duties
Assist students in the completion of assignments as appropriate and oversee them as they work independently or in groups in the classroom, resource area/lab, or other designated areas.
Monitor students during tests and administer make‑up exams as directed.
Assist teachers in grading assignments and tests and help prepare instructional materials.
Assist in maintaining departmental files and records.
Conduct inventory of instructional material and equipment; use copier as needed.
Monitor lunch and recesses for multiple grade‑levels.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Hours: 6.3 hrs/day
Salary: Grade 4, $19.41/hour (Classified Salary Schedule)
Work Year: 180 contract days (26/27 Classified calendar)
