Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Folder/Sorter.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for collecting soiled linen from Tisch and HCC chute rooms, placing bags of linen in trucks, and transporting them to the main soiled linen holding room.
Job Responsibilities
Follows safety guidelines and meets physical effort standards. Advises supervisor of any hazardous conditions and follows established departmental and infection control guidelines.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Collects soiled linen from Tisch and HCC chute rooms. Packs bags of linen into trucks and transports the truck to the main soiled linen collection room, using proper personal protective equipment.
Provides the delivery of clean linen and scrubs to all distribution points in the hospital; sets up AM linen carts for delivery throughout the hospital.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be able to read, speak, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English. Should be able to perform simple arithmetic calculations.
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma or the equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York State Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $25.52 - $25.52 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range does not include bonuses, incentives, differential pay, or other forms of compensation.
