Position Summary
Holy Family Parish School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic middle school teacher for 6th grade Homeroom, 6th grade Humanities and other subjects, including advisory and elective, who is enthusiastic about Catholic education and committed to helping students grow academically, socially, and spiritually. The ideal candidate will create an engaging, well-managed classroom environment and collaborate closely with colleagues and families to support student success.

Has a passion for teaching middle school students

Has expertise in teaching ELA and Social Studies

Understands standards-based assessments and grading

Can prepare and implement lessons aligned with Common Core State Standards

Has experience with curriculum mapping

Consistently uses formative assessments to drive instruction

Can differentiate instruction so that all students achieve mastery of learning targets

Can collaborate effectively with the middle school team

Is proficient with Smartboard and MS Office Suite, and possesses basic technology skills

Has excellent classroom management skills

Can effectively and regularly communicate with students, colleagues, and parents

Is familiar with the middle school approach/philosophy for teaching and learning

Desires to continue professional development

Holds a Washington state teaching certificate or is eligible for one

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education or related field

Valid teaching credential or eligibility for certification

Middle school teaching experience preferred

Ability to integrate faith and values into instruction and school life

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively

Salary
The salary ranges from $57,707-110,953 per year if working full-time. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications. A comprehensive package of benefits is offered including two medical plan options, dental, vision, life, accidental death and disability, long term disability, pension, 403(b), HSA, FSA, and generous sick leave, vacation, and holidays.
