We are seeking an Advanced Line Cook to bring expertise and precision to our culinary brigade. This role is ideal for a seasoned cook ready to contribute at a high level in a fine dining kitchen, delivering exquisite dishes inspired by Big Sur’s rich bounty.

Key Responsibilities

Execute complex recipes and manage high-volume production stations

Maintain impeccable food safety and kitchen hygiene standards

Support team leadership and step in for supervision when needed

Prep and cook proteins, sauces, and composed dishes with accuracy

Note: All culinary team members may be assigned to support any of our resort’s food & beverage outlets based on business needs, including the main restaurant (breakfast, lunch, and dinner service), in-room dining, poolside service, and banquet events.

Schedule – The shift time is 2pm to 10pm am . We require schedule flexibility, including the willingness to work mornings and/or evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The hourly pay for this position is $23-28/hour depending on experience. This is the pay range for this position at Alila Ventana Big Sur reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual pay rates will be based on a number of factors including experience and education.

Qualifications

Experience of 2+ years on a sauté & grill station, at a fine dining restaurant or luxury resort.

Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for 8 hours, and work under pressure

Culinary degree preferred; strong communication a must
