Education Level4 Year DegreeCategoryEducation## Elementary Instructional Coach# **Elementary Instructional Coach, FT**The Elementary Instructional Coach, having both content and instructional expertise, will partner with classroom teachers to support and improve classroom management, student engagement, student learning (proficiency/growth), curriculum implementation, technology integration, and other highly effective instructional practices. The Elementary Instructional Coach will focus on individual and group professional learning that will expand and refine the understanding about research-based, effective instruction and student learning.In order to meet this purpose, the Elementary Instructional Coach will provide personalized, 1:1 support through coaching cycles and other personalized, relevant professional development experiences based on the goals and identified needs of individual teachers and grade-level teams, with an emphasis on using data to inform decisions.## **Essential Functions**Partner with teachers to improve instructional practice and student outcomesProvide individualized, classroom-based coaching, including modeling, observation, and feedbackFacilitate professional learning for individuals, teams, and staffSupport teachers and teams in analyzing student data to inform instructionCollaborate with PLC teams to strengthen instructional practices and student learningBuild positive, trusting relationships with teachers and administratorsReact to change productively and handle other tasks as assignedSupport the vision, goals, and core values of Lincoln Academy## **General Responsibilities:**Coach teachers in planning and delivering standards-aligned instructionSupport the implementation of curriculum, assessment, and instructional best practicesGuide teachers in using assessment data to make instructional decisionsModel effective, differentiated instructional strategies in classroomsSupport teachers in implementing effective classroom management and student engagement strategiesSupport effective PLC practicesDevelop and provide resources to support instruction and curriculum implementationAssist in the development of curriculum, assessments, and instructional materialsMaintain a confidential, professional, and collegial relationship with teachersManage time and schedule flexibly to meet teacher and student needsContribute to school and district improvement goalsParticipate in ongoing professional learning, including coaching-specific training and collaborationCommunicate professionally and effectively with staff and administrationExercise professional judgment, including when to involve administration in matters related to student safety or ethicsPerform other duties as assigned by the PrincipalSalary: Competitive and commensurate with education level and years of experience
