What You’ll Do:
Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and faculty by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public education location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with school personnel, first responders, and/or local authorities as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items, and document observations, incidents, and actions taken in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
Support school‑related operations during arrivals, dismissals, special events, and/or after‑hours activities by maintaining a visible presence and following established protocols for the location.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess 1 or more years of armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or License.
Customer service experience is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
