
Human Resources Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Interim HR Operations Lead. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficiency, compliance, and alignment of HR operational processes, systems, and programs during a critical transition period. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep expertise in Workday, process improvement, HR compliance, and compensation.
Key Responsibilities
HR Systems and Technology Management
Work with our HRIS team to maintain & optimize Workday (HRIS) as we plan and execute additional functionality.
Understand how various Workday modules work together to help oversee business process implementations (Recruiting, Compensation, HCM, Talent).
Work closely with cross functional team members on a subsidiary integration into Workday. Help plan and track integration 'implementation' of Workday.
Ensure data integrity and security as processes are implemented into Workday.
Process Optimization and Compliance
Assist us in continuing HR operational workflows to drive efficiency, scalability, and an improved employee experience.
Ensure all HR operational processes (e.g., onboarding, offboarding, compensation) comply with federal, state, and local country regulations.
Compensation Administration
Manage the administration of compensation changes within Workday per the company’s compensation philosophy. Reviewing & approving compensation for new hires, promotions, job changes, and one time payments.
Have prior working knowledge of Radford and can navigate the platform to pull compensation data.
Can pull reports and conduct vlookup analysis for various compensation projects.
Provide mentorship & guidance to the existing HR Operations team.
Act as the primary escalation point for compensation and HR operational issues.
Work with HR Generalists to manage the Summer Internship Program.
Required Experience
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years in a dedicated HR Operations leadership role.
Proven experience managing and optimizing Workday, Radford, Google Suite (drive, email, docs, sheets).
Demonstrated expertise in HR process design, compliance, and compensation.
In-depth knowledge of U.S. employment law and HR best practices. Global experience is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
