Responsibilities

Work within a collaborative 3–4-person client team, including a senior advisor, portfolio manager, and associate advisor.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, ultimately serving as primary point of contact.

Lead client meetings, communications, and implementation of financial advice as you grow in the role.

Coordinate all aspects of the financial planning process in partnership with your team.

Develop and deliver comprehensive financial plans tailored to each client’s unique situation.

Mentor and support associate advisors as part of your team responsibilities.

Contribute to firm-wide collaboration by working with all members of the Old Peak team.

Dedicate approximately 80-90% of your time to client service and 10-20% to firm growth and business development.

Progress into a lead advisor role managing 35-50 client relationships, depending on complexity.

Continue your professional development with the goal of advancing into a senior advisor role or another leadership path within the firm.

Partner with your advisor team to prepare for client meetings and gain a deep understanding of client needs.

Attend all client meetings and participate in post-meeting debriefs.

Assist in the creation and development of financial plans.

Shadow advisors on investment recommendations, portfolio rebalancing, and quarterly reporting.

Gain exposure to trading activities by working alongside the portfolio manager.

Learn operational processes, including custodial procedures and documentation.

Participate in team meetings and ongoing training sessions with internal and external experts.

Meet regularly with your Senior Advisor to review progress and identify growth opportunities.

Develop proficiency in financial planning, CRM, and document management tools.

Learn and apply the firm’s investment philosophy.

Gain exposure to key planning areas, including estate planning, equity compensation, tax planning, and insurance.

Build confidence in delivering the firm’s value proposition and service offering.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.

CFP designation required.

5+ years of experience in financial planning.

Strong communication and writing skills.

Demonstrated ability to build relationships and deliver client-focused solutions.

Comfort with financial technology and planning tools.
