Porter - Full Time Collision Center

The Royal South Service & Collision Center Porters are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our Service department & Body Shop. We are looking to fill this full‑time position with a dependable and responsible individual who can meet the work schedule. The role requires a clean driver’s license, as you will be moving vehicles. It is an entry‑level position focused on shop cleanliness, and it can lead to other roles such as Service Advisor, Parts Advisor, or Body Technician.
Heavy lifting will be involved, including removing trash, used tires, scrap metal, and failed parts. You will deliver high‑quality cleaning services to keep work bays clean for both service and body technicians. The position is a full‑time hourly role located at Royal South Toyota in Bloomington, Indiana, reporting to the Service & Collision Center managers. This individual contributor position requires a strong work ethic, dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. Where hours will be 37‑40 per week on a Monday‑Friday or Tuesday‑Saturday schedule, depending on workload.

Responsibilities
Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks in the collision center & service department such as sweeping, mopping, and organizing tools and equipment.
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, including the detail bay and shop bays.
Clean and prepare vehicles for delivery after repairs.
Perform thorough detailing services on completed repairs, ensuring all surfaces are cleaned and polished to dealership standards.
Use appropriate tools and products for detailing, including polishing machines, vacuums, and cleaning solutions.
Identify and report any vehicle damages or imperfections to the Collision Center Manager.
Maintain accurate records of daily work and completed detailing services.
Assist in final inspection of vehicles before returning them to customers.
Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols at all times.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in automotive detailing preferred.
Knowledge of detailing products and techniques.
Ability to work efficiently, independently, and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organization.
Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
