Job Description
The District is recruiting for an After-School Program Lead Teacher. The Lead Teacher is a certificated person who assists the Director of Expanded Learning Opportunities (ELO) in duty areas designated by the Principal and Director of Expanded Learning Opportunities in the administration of the FUESD Afterschool Program. These duties are in addition to a teacher's primary responsibilities.

3.0 hours/day, five days a week, Monday - Friday (3:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M.)
Salary:
$75 per hour

Knowledge of
Policies and objectives of the assigned program and activities.
Oral and written English communication skills.
Principles and practices of administration, supervision, and training. Applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Operation of a computer and assigned programs/software.
Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
Ability to
Plan, organize, and administer after-school activities for the school site.
Supervise and provide training to after-school staff on PBIS and LIM practices.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Interpret, apply, and explain rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Learn and facilitate student information platforms for after-school programs.
Plan and organize work, including session schedules and events.
Example of Duties
Assists the Director of Expanded Learning Opportunities in supervising and developing the FUESD Afterschool Programs.
Assists with the orientation of after-school teachers and staff.
Coordinates and communicates with the Director of the ELO regarding facility needs and program assignments using campus classrooms.
Works with students, parents/guardians, and teachers to coordinate the ELO Afterschool Program.
Conducts parent meetings and makes phone calls as needed.
Provides training to the FUESD Afterschool staff on PBIS, school-wide expectations, and disciplinary issues.
Manages the school site's after-school dashboard, which includes student rosters and instructors' classes for all after-school enrichment and intervention classes.
Collect and review staff timesheets for processing and submission.
Collaborates with community partners and external vendors to support the FUESD Afterschool Program.
Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
California Administrative Services Credential or be enrolled in an approved program leading to an Administrative Services Credential is preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience with exemplary evaluations and a First Aid/CPR certificate.
