As a Hospital Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard a high profile healthcare customer, monitor the client's healthcare premises, protect staff, members, and visitors, detect and prevent suspicious activity, observe and report incidents, and provide friendly, professional customer service.

Site location: Clinton, SC 29325. Hospital Security Officer: All Shifts. Employment Type: Full Time. Starting Base Pay: $18.69 per hour. Workdays: Friday–Thursday.

Responsibilities

Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazards, and unusual activity

Patrol on foot, bicycle, or via a vehicle to check for unsafe conditions, blocked entryways, security violations, mechanical problems, and unauthorized individuals

Orally and physically de-escalate individuals, as needed

Inspect all security devices and fire control equipment

Screen members, visitors, and client employees to expedite admittance to the facility

Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, or inclement weather with calm urgency

May include patient escort, patient watch, safety escort, and transport of deceased to morgue

Minimum Requirements

Prior work experience involving dealing with customers, troubleshooting, and/or managing stressful situations

Be at least 21 years of age

High school diploma or verifiable High School Diploma or GED (Certificates of Completion not acceptable)

Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Qualified applications with criminal histories will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws

Drug screen as permitted by law

Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment per state/local laws

Must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), minimum required insurance, and ability to operate a vehicle safely

Post offer, must complete training and obtain a Management of Aggressive Behavior certification
