Special Education Teacher - SPED (PEL/LBS1)
Chicago, IL
Covering 3 schools within 10 miles of one another, this full-time on-site position offers a competitive hourly rate of $49–$52.

Responsibilities
Consult and collaborate with school staff and families regarding students’ educational deficits.
Conduct initial screenings and comprehensive evaluations; participate in the IEP process in developing present levels of performance, goals and objectives, and treatment recommendations for students qualifying for Special Education services.
Provide Special Education sessions using current best practices based on the prescribed services in the IEP.
Maintain all documentation required by the district, including notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEPs.
Qualifications
Must hold a current license to practice in the state of Illinois.
PEL and LBS1 required for this position.
Experience working with culturally diverse families.
Responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development.
