Job Description
Qualified applicants must hold a valid Ohio teaching license. The ideal teacher will:
exhibit professionalism that reflects positively on the district;
maintain excellent attendance and communication skills;
demonstrate a working knowledge of appropriate teaching strategies;
possess effective classroom management skills;

Welcome to Maplewood Intermediate
Shawnee Local Schools has four school facilities: Shawnee High School, Shawnee Middle School, Maplewood Elementary, and Elmwood Elementary. All buildings have well-equipped science labs and 1:1 Chromebooks. The district offers advanced placement courses, fine arts, technology coursework, and encourages the arts. Students consistently score in the "superior category" at state competitions in vocal and instrumental music, and participate in the Lima Concert Band and Lima Symphony Orchestra.
