Travel Echo Technologist Job Details

Days, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Call:
After-hours and weekend rotation required
Weekly Estimated Pay:
$1,690 – $1,820 (competitive travel technologist pay)

Required Qualifications – Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Technologist
Minimum 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist or clinical sonographer (adult and pediatric echocardiograms)
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
State of New Mexico license required
ARDMS certification required; RDCS, RCS, or ACS credential required
Proficiency in Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) and TEE probe care/cleaning
Experience using HMS and Freeland EMR or similar cardiology information systems
Willingness to participate in after-hours and weekend call rotation
Key Responsibilities – Echocardiography Technologist
Perform full and limited adult and pediatric transthoracic echocardiograms and TEE procedures
Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot TEE probes and echocardiography equipment
Prepare and write preliminary echo reports in HMS / Freeland EMR and ensure accurate cardiology documentation
Perform EKGs, Holter monitor hookups, scanning, and edit/file EKG recordings
Ensure accurate billing and coding of cardiology procedures in coordination with clinical team
Manage an approximate patient ratio of 5:1 while maintaining high standards of patient care
Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment
