Procurement Support Specialist

Job Description
Responsible for sourcing, costing, and procuring materials and components required for custom and non-standard product configurations. This role works closely with Engineering, Sales, and Production to ensure accurate, competitive, and timely quotes while maintaining supplier alignment on cost, quality, and lead times. This position is critical in supporting revenue growth through responsive and accurate quoting, while ensuring procurement strategies align with operational capabilities and margin expectations.
Custom Quoting & Costing
Review custom quote requests from Sales and Engineering for non-standard products or configurations
Source materials and components required for custom builds
Develop accurate cost estimates including materials, lead times, and supplier constraints
Ensure quotes align with margin targets and company financial objectives
Provide timely responses to support Sales in meeting customer deadlines
Manage custom units through all phases of production
Supplier Engagement
Identify and engage suppliers for custom or unique components
Request and evaluate supplier quotes for cost, lead time, and feasibility
Negotiate pricing and terms for low-volume or custom orders
Maintain strong relationships with key vendors supporting custom work
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Engineering and Sales to understand design intent, specifications, and alternative solutions
Work with Production and Planning to validate feasibility and scheduling impacts
Support Sales and Customer Service with accurate lead times and cost breakdowns
Coordinate with Quality to ensure materials meet required standards and certifications
Procurement Execution
Convert approved quotes into purchase orders and ensure timely ordering of materials
Track and manage supplier commitments for custom orders
Expedite materials as needed to meet project timelines
Maintain accurate documentation within ERP (Business Central)
Process & Continuous Improvement
Develop and refine quoting and sourcing processes for efficiency and accuracy
Identify opportunities for cost savings or design standardization
Maintain a database of commonly sourced custom components and pricing history
Support ERP system improvements and data integrity
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, quoting, or manufacturing environment preferred
Experience working with custom or engineered-to-order products strongly preferred
Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central preferred)

This is a Permanent position based out of Cornelius, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55,000.00 - $58,000.00/yr.
Health Benefits. Full‑time employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance on the first of the month following 60 days from hire date. 401(K) Retirement Plan: The Company will match 100% of an employee’s contribution up to 3% of their annual salary; as well as an additional 50% match for any contribution between 3% and 5%. Automatically enrolled with a 3% contribution. You have the option to opt out or update contributions. Short‑Term and Long‑Term Disability Insurance: 100% covered through the company. Life Insurance: 100% covered through the company. Flex Spending Plan (FSA/HSA): Voluntary plan; yearly enrollment, employee choice of amount deduction. Oregon PMF: The total contribution is 0.983% which will be split between Employee 60% and Employer 40%.
