R-151281**Job Title**Distribution Supervisor 2nd/3rd Shift**Position Overview**Shaw Industries is seeking a high‐accountability **Distribution Supervisor** to lead second and third shift operations at our Orlando, FL regional distribution center. This role is critical to daily execution—overseeing order accuracy, safe material handling, and workforce performance across outbound loading and inbound receiving activities. The successful leader is hands‐on, highly visible on the floor, and trusted to independently manage performance, safety incidents, and operational issues during off‐shift hours.
This position will work through Sunday through Thursdays ~4:00 PM to 12:30 AM cadence each week to support both shifts.**Responsibilities*** Own shift execution and results: Deliver daily service, productivity, accuracy, and safety targets across second and third shift operations; identify and address gaps in real time.* Lead from the floor: Maintain a consistent on‐floor presence directing workflow, monitoring execution, and holding associates accountable to standards and expectations.* Safety leadership:
+ Enforce all safety policies and immediately correct unsafe behaviors.
+ Complete quarterly Cority audits and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
+ Execute the annual Brady 360 audit in full compliance.
+ Lead and sustain the Safety Champion Program, driving active participation and measurable improvement.* Outbound accuracy & quality control: Ensure trailers are loaded safely, sequenced correctly by route, and verified through quality checks so all committed product ships accurately and on time.* Inbound execution & damage reporting: Oversee third‐shift unloading and put‐away activities; ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and escalation of damaged or non‐conforming product.* Shift transition management: Ensure clear communication and operational continuity between second and third shifts and alignment with first shift priorities.* Workforce performance management:
+ Set clear expectations for productivity, quality, attendance, and conduct.
+ Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action as needed.* Incident response & accountability: Serve as the on‐site salaried leader during off‐shift hours; respond to safety incidents, injuries, and operational escalations in accordance with company protocols.* Inventory & operational control: Maintain inventory accuracy, minimize loss, and ensure proper product handling, storage, and security.* Problem solving & continuous improvement: Identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and contribute to process improvements that increase throughput, accuracy, and efficiency.* Communication & reporting: Conduct structured shift meetings focused on safety, performance metrics, and expectations; communicate issues clearly through written and verbal updates.**Requirements*** Bachelor’s degree with 1+ year of supervisory experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of supervisory experience.* Minimum 2 years of distribution, warehouse, or logistics experience in a fast‐paced environment.* Prior experience directly supervising employees and holding accountability for performance, safety, and attendance.* Strong understanding of warehouse operations, material handling, and safety practices.* Ability to work independently during off‐shift hours and make sound decisions under pressure.* Effective written and verbal communication skills, including clear incident reporting and escalation.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and warehouse management or related systems.* Flexibility to work Sunday–Thursday, supporting overlapping second and third shift operations.* Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.**Highly Preferred Experiences*** Experience leading second or third shift operations in a distribution or logistics environment.* Background in transportation, DOT‐regulated operations, or high‐mix outbound loading environments.* Demonstrated success working with tenured teams and managing diverse personalities.* Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives, time studies, or process optimization.* Comfort using operational or maintenance data to support decision‐making and performance improvements.**Competencies:**Coach and SupportDemonstrate Good JudgmentDelegate AuthorityDeliver Compelling CommunicationDemonstrate Inclusive Leadership#LI-TA1
