Career TEAM is looking to hire a Career Advisor who will provide professional career counseling, intensive and case management, and follow‑up services under the supervision of the Career Services Manager.
Responsibilities
Provide intensive case management services to registered customers within the One‑Stop system.
Complete intake and eligibility determination for the workforce program and assess jobseekers’ employment and training needs through interviewing, testing, and other methods.
Enter and process client data in the participant information system and other required databases.
Guide jobseekers through the preparation of individual employment plans (IEP) based on their occupational goals.
Counsel clients on available job opportunities, training programs, and other services.
Complete Individual Training Account (ITA) vouchers and related documents for clients entering training.
Refer individuals to appropriate services, training programs, or job opportunities and follow up on those activities.
Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, job clubs, and other group presentations for clients.
Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations related to eligibility documentation.
Maintain accurate individual case files with required eligibility documents for compliance.
Develop comprehensive Individual Employment Plans (IEP) and track customers into contracted programs within the One‑Stop centers and in the community.
Meet and/or exceed program benchmarks and participate in staff events such as training, meetings, and supervision.
Complete all required reports.
Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, behavioral science, or a related field.
Two years of experience in training, counseling, case management, or related services.
Substantial case‑management experience with the ability to read and interpret policies and procedures.
Ability to work with a culturally diverse customer base and exhibit cultural sensitivity.
Ability to serve as a role model and motivate customers toward achieving goals.
Proficient with personal computer use, Internet, e‑mail, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to meet and/or exceed set goals and objectives.
Excellent interpersonal, time‑management, customer‑service, organizational, and written communication skills.
Valid driver’s license.
