Engineer Technician I
This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide crucial support to engineers on various technical projects and products. As an Engineer Technician I, you will be responsible for collecting, maintaining, organizing, and manipulating technical data. You will also have the chance to create, build, assemble, modify, and repair prototypes while preparing detailed engineering documentation, reports, drawings, and diagrams. Your role will involve performing mathematical calculations in accordance with engineering specifications and analyzing data with provided guidelines. You will also recommend alternative solutions to problems and obstacles, set up and conduct tests, and record data to assist with engineering analysis.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with permit agencies, right-of-way specialists, system owners, field leaders, forestry leaders, and third‑party owners for joint‑owned poles.
Review work provided by the client and assess the requirements of scopes.
Provide engineering support during construction, including post‑construction reviews to ensure adherence to engineering and construction standards.
Conduct root cause analysis of outages and apply mitigation strategies using engineering principles and design.
Travel to sites as needed, perform inspections, and return to the office to conduct engineering design work.
Collect field data to assist in the development of electrical design work packages.
Essential Skills
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in engineering technology or CAD drafting/design.
0-1 Years of experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Comfortable outdoors
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Power/Utilities experience is preferred but not required.
Previous experience with field data collection is preferred.
Work Environment
The work environment for this position includes both office and field responsibilities. You will engage in tasks that require working outdoors, which may involve variable weather conditions, while also completing assignments in a traditional office setting. The role demands adaptability to different working environments and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of professionals.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00–$25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
