Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Maintenance Supervisor located in the Greater Chicago Area. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the maintenance team to ensure efficient operations of all production equipment and facilities. The role includes scheduling and conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment as needed, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Additionally, the Supervisor will provide hands‑on leadership, manage maintenance schedules, and contribute to continuous process improvements to support production needs.

Must be bilingual in English/Spanish.

2+ years of experience as supervisor.

Education & Experience

Proven leadership in industrial operations or maintenance, minimum 2 years

Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.

SQF/OSHA/Electrical certifications are a plus

General Requirements for Maintenance Supervisor Positions

The facilities maintenance technician and supervisor assist in the completion of the day‑to‑day activities involving the maintenance of the building/facility, equipment and machinery, building lighting systems, product production lines, coolers, freezers, grounds keeping, and overall facility appearance.

The position will comply with the necessary repairs to maintain the building, equipment, and machinery.

The training will be with the Maintenance Director, on all procedures and processes. QA personnel will provide additional food safety training as required.

Maintains a preventative maintenance schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery.

Manages appropriate third‑party contractor support as needed.

Troubleshoots maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement.

Perform routine plumbing repairs.

Perform routine electrical repairs.

Paints interior and exterior walls.

Fabricates or upgrade parts/materials to accomplish production standards.

Ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and safety protocols, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.

Support the company’s food safety initiative and ensure compliance with SQF, OSHA, FDA, HACCP, and EPA regulations.

Spend 80% of the time on Equipment needs and repairs/20% building maintenance.
