Responsibilities

Strong Communication skills

Learn and understand difference in Wire sizes and types

Ensure Wire product is handled appropriately so that it is not damaged during cutting, storage or shipment

Learn to use and train to use machines specifically intended for cutting and measuring wire

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and OSHA safety standards

Stage product for loading

Unload materials from truck

Move materials to warehouse for storage

Responsible for quality control. No damaged product is sent out; no damaged material is accepted in

Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT). Stand up, reach truck, order picker and sit down propane fork lift

Complete daily and weekly logs for PIT and quality processes

Clean and maintain work areas

Develop and lead team

Wire cutting knowledge

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

College degree with 2 years or more directly related experience and/or training

Equivalent combination of education and experience

Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required

PIT proficiency: reach truck, order picker, “sit down” propane. Current certification a plus

Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and handling small parts

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

Environment

Long and varied hours required occasionally

Ability to work mandatory physical inventory

Ability to work in extreme hot or cold environment

Ability to work in dusty conditions
