Position Overview
We are seeking a Production Planning & Scheduling Manager to lead planning strategy and execution within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing production scheduling, balancing capacity with demand, and ensuring on-time delivery across multiple production lines.
You will collaborate closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and operations leadership to optimize production flow, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage production planning and scheduling operations
Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
Balance production capacity with demand forecasts and customer orders
Analyze constraints and adjust schedules to meet delivery commitments
Partner with supply chain and operations teams to align production goals
Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, process optimization, automation)
Monitor KPIs including on-time delivery, backlog, and schedule adherence
Mentor and develop planning/scheduling team members
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations
Experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles
Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Dynamics, etc.)
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
Background in demand planning or supply chain
Experience in make‑to‑order or mixed-model manufacturing
Lean / Six Sigma certification
