The In Room Dining Coordinator
The In Room Dining Coordinator answers the telephone and takes food and beverage orders for in‑room dining, maintaining exceptional knowledge of menu items and preparation methods.
What You Will Do
Answer the telephone and obtain information necessary to process the guest’s order, describing each menu item’s origin, taste, and preparation methods.
Monitor mobile platforms and reply to guest inquiries in a timely manner.
Communicate guest orders, including any special needs, to the kitchen using the hotel’s point‑of‑sales system.
Coordinate delivery of items to the room by In Room Dining Servers.
Properly and accurately close guest checks; record guest charges and gratuities.
Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
Coordinate amenity delivery by ensuring that all requests are received, filed, ordered from the kitchen, and delivered.
What You Bring
At least 1 year of food and beverage service or coordinator/logistics experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
Strong time‑management skills; ability to multi‑task, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions in a fast‑paced environment.
Ability to operate all computer equipment necessary for the job; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Opera, and Micros POS preferred or a plus.
Excellent communication skills; ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests.
Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 30 lbs.
