Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, Saturday + Sunday 1:00-5:00pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect and evaluate electric bicycles for safety, function, and cleanliness.
Swap electric bike batteries.
Balance the system (moving e-bikes around).
Customer service/interaction (answer questions on the street).
Drive a service van or ride e-bike to complete daily tasks.
Work alone or under guidance of the Program Manager.
Prioritize and lead e-bike repairs in shop to ensure BCycle electric bikes returned to operation in good condition as soon as possible.
Scout and recover abandoned bikes in the field.
Maintain stations (some troubleshooting, replace parts, cleaning, and batteries).
Install and remove stations.
Collect and enter data as required.
Work with Program Manager to ensure timely and productive workflows.
Events: prep e-bikes, set up, tabling, tear down.
Adapt to changing roles.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
Clean driving record required.
Positive attitude and self-motivation.
Small team skills and willingness to have fun while completing goals.
Impressive attention to detail.
Bike share experience a plus.
Physical Requirements and Special Demands
Work outdoors in various temperatures including rain, extreme cold and heat conditions.
Warehouse work and some office work when necessary.
Bend, stoop, and lift materials up to 65 pounds.
Safely operate gas vehicles in heavy traffic in an urban environment.
Can speak clearly, understand speech of another person, see details of objects less than a few feet away, stand or sit for several hours straight at a time.
