Salary Range: Up to a maximum of $60,918 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Type: Full Time.

Job Summary
The Financial Aid Training Coordinator develops, coordinates, and executes financial aid and scholarships training for current financial aid and scholarships staff, and new hires to Financial Aid and Scholarships and One Stop Enrollment Center. This role conducts periodic training for admissions recruiters and One Stop Enrollment. This position researches Title IV, state and institutional policies and regulations with a demonstrated ability to cater to multiple learning styles is essential. The Financial Aid Training Coordinator executes training in person primarily, but occasionally remotely or via recording. Comfort with public speaking is essential, as is collaboration with the financial aid and scholarships management team to ensure up-to-date information. This role establishes a repeatable curriculum and a yearly training calendar, along with staying abreast of industry and legislative updates.

Core Responsibilities

Develops new hire training material and updates on a regular basis to ensure accuracy of financial aid and scholarship information.

Coordinates planning, scheduling, and facilities for training, and executes training curriculum for both new hires and continuing professional development for staff already within financial aid and scholarships.

Evaluates the efficacy of training, and shares evaluation scores of new hires with supervisors.

Assesses needs for different training topics and develops an annual calendar for the continued education of financial aid and scholarship staff.

Attends occasional state, regional, and/or national conferences and disseminates information learned.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

At the department's discretion, a Master’s degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.

Three (3) years of related work experience.

This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in higher education, enrollment management.

Experience in financial aid.

Experience with Ellucian Banner.

Experience with creation and delivery of teaching/training materials.

Experience with learning management system (ex. Canvas, BlackBoard).

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Research, decipher meaning, and interpret regulations.

Working Conditions

Office Environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events. After-hours and weekend work is required on an occasional basis.

Physical Demands

Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary; if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.

This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility.

This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
