Overview
An Associate for the SDE Trading Team within Charles Schwab Trust Bank will work with internal and external partners to facilitate daily mutual fund trading, dividend processing, and corporate actions. The role supports daily trade activity and aims to innovate, streamline processes, and reduce risk while ensuring a smooth transaction flow.
Responsibilities
Establish and maintain relationships within the department and across organizations.
Identify and report anomalies in day‑to‑day processes and help drive improvements that enhance efficiencies and the client experience.
Apply functional knowledge to assist the team with strategy and process development.
Communicate effectively across a geographically distributed team.
Support operations during evening hours and overtime as needed for coverage and month‑/year‑end dividend processing.
Required Hours
12:00/12:30 pm – 9:00 pm Central Time.
Qualifications
BA/BS preferred.
2‑4 years of retirement industry experience with a focus on Trading Operations.
Strong experience in Mutual Fund Trading, Corporate Actions, and Dividend Processing.
Knowledge of Trust3000 and legacy systems.
Advanced Excel skills (vlookup, sumif, pivot tables) required; macro building a plus.
Demonstrated analytical skills and problem‑solving ability.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication with internal and external business providers.
Adaptability to a constantly changing work environment.
Ability to collaborate across multiple levels of the organization.
