Salary Range: $89,508 - $138,370 per year, locality pay included

Position is open exclusively to current Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) federal employees. Applicants must submit their most recent SF50 to verify eligibility.
Responsibilities
Exercise 1st level supervisory and position management responsibilities over employees within the Cost Accounting Branch.
Direct work activities through subordinates, maintaining current knowledge and guiding employees to provide advice, accountability, and expertise.
Use independent judgment to assign work based on expertise, experience, competence, workload, priorities, and functional development.
Perform technical and administrative team lead duties over primarily professional employees for at least 25% of the time, identifying, distributing, assigning, and balancing workload and tasks by skill level, proficiency, and occupational specialization, adjusting to accomplish workload per established priorities.
Coordinate with Defense Finance and Accounting System (DFAS), Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC), Air Logistic Complexes (ALCs) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) for proposed recommendations affecting financial performance, including cash flow, inventory write-offs, equipment deficiencies, and other financial statement issues as they arise.
Assist and advise the Division/Branch Chief in formulating adequate control to maintain efficient and effective utilization of resources.
Attend meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars related to program planning, policy and procedure updates, and financial system concepts.
Qualifications
Current Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) federal employee.
Must submit a recent SF50.
Obtain and maintain a security clearance.
May be required to travel temporarily, including on military and commercial aircraft.
Education requirements as specified for the position.
Experience and understanding of financial management concepts and statements.
Mastery of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and standards.
Knowledge of laws and regulations governing accounting processes.
Expert knowledge of financial management systems, data processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software applications.
Knowledge of DoD FIAR planning, audit processes, process mapping, and audit sustainment.
Ability to gather, assemble, interpret, and analyze budget, accounting, and related financial reports.
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
