Job Description
Provides professional nursing services, leadership of nursing staff, leadership within the organization, and management of operational processes to serve patients and their families and/or serve the nursing department. Collaborates with other health care providers and health care team members to achieve expected patient and organization outcomes. Work efforts are focused on improvement of the care environment.

The Assistant Nurse Manager is accountable for supporting standards of care and providing consultation and expertise in the delivery of patient care. The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is involved in activities at the unit, service, nursing department, and institutional level. The ANM contributes to goal achievement through personal action and the facilitation of others. He/she participates in community and professional organizations, demonstrating commitment to the promotion of nursing's visibility and future. The ANM provides expert patient care, serves as a resource, consults as requested, and role models communication effectively in all situations. He/she also participates in the management of human resources, the development and evaluation of recruitment and retention strategies, and the monitoring of patient and operational outcomes.

Qualifications
3-5 years recent RN expertise in an acute care setting.
BS in Nursing preferred.
Licensed by New York State to practice as a Registered Nurse.
Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare providers preferred).
Pay Range
USD $94,130.40 – $124,373.65 per year.
