Job Overview
The Quality Field Technician plays a key role in executing assigned quality tasks. This includes setting up, operating, cleaning, and troubleshooting production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Collect and analyze product samples from raw milk, in-process materials, and finished dairy products to conduct microbiological, chemical, and sensory testing for bacterial contamination, composition analysis, and quality compliance.

Monitor critical control points throughout production processes including pasteurization temperatures, pH levels, and hold times while verifying equipment calibration and documenting any deviations from standard procedures.

Implement food safety protocols by conducting HACCP inspections, monitoring sanitation procedures, and ensuring compliance with FDA, USDA, and state regulatory requirements for dairy manufacturing operations.

Perform facility and equipment inspections to verify cleanliness standards, proper storage temperatures, packaging specifications, and labeling accuracy while maintaining detailed quality control records.

Investigate quality issues by analyzing test results, identifying root causes of product deviations, implementing corrective actions, and coordinating with production teams to prevent recurrence.

Maintain documentation and reporting by recording test data in quality databases, preparing regulatory compliance reports, conducting traceability investigations, and providing training to production staff on quality procedures.

Min. Qualifications

A minimum GED or High School Diploma is required; associate degree in chemistry, biology, food science or ag-tech science preferred.

6 months – 2 years of manufacturing/machine operation experience in dairy/food industry preferred.

SQF or similar quality systems experience preferred.
