Supervisor Physician Assistant – SICU, Burn and General Surgery – Day/Night Shift – Cornell Campus

Manage a variety of post‑operative patients from different surgical sub‑specialties, including Surgical ICU patients, level 1 trauma, Burn ICU, general surgery, surgical oncology, colorectal, breast and plastics. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to do trauma and burn consults on all floors, main ED and the trauma bay.

Responsibilities

Working clinically

Scheduling: General surgery nights, SICU, trauma surgery, burn

Manage call outs

Crosstrain on General surgery nights, SICU days
ights, burn days
ights to assist with coverage when needed

Manage student scheduling and evaluations

Manage ED APP scheduling: SICU/burn

Q4 meetings: 8S PCD, trauma coordinator, 8S/Red social work, burn PCD, 8C/8N PCD, Dr. Winchell

Preferred Criteria

Surgery experience

Critical care experience

Leadership experience

Required Criteria

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies

Minimum of five years of previous experience as Physician Assistant

NYS licensure and NCCPA certification

BLS/ACLS certification

DEA certification

All roles require on-site presence. Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range
$161,000 – $193,000 per year
