Job description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Shop Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for material procurement, inventory control, delivery of material as needed, pipe fabrication and helping to maintain the overall appearance of the shop and grounds. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, self-starting, outgoing personality and an eye for detail.
This is an opportunity to springboard into the fire sprinkler trade apprenticeship program.
Responsibilities:
Assist employees with their material needs
Delivery and pick up of material from local suppliers
Utilize forklift for material unloading - forklift certification suggested
Learn material and product
Maintain a clean and organized shop environment and grounds
Ensure stock levels are maintained
Fabricate piping as required
