TITLE:
Noon Aide
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide safety and assistance to children in lunchrooms and school grounds.
Qualifications
Education equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED preferred
Must be at least 18 years of age
Experience working with and/or supervising children
State of Arizona Identity Verified (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
No previous experience required

Duties and Responsibilities
Ensuring safety of students in lunchrooms and school grounds.
Counsel and/or intervene with students to ensure acceptable behavior.
Report observations and/or incidents relating to students to appropriate school personnel.
Respond to emergency situations to address safety concerns.
Escort students to and from classrooms.
Assist students in lunchroom and/or school grounds.
Perform routine cleaning tasks (clean up spills, floor, etc.).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Other Characteristics
Knowledge of District policies and regulations.
Skill in interacting with students, staff and parents.
Ability to use equipment such as walkie talkie, brooms, mops or related items.
Ability to enforce school and/or District rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with students, parents and staff.
Working Conditions
Potential physical harm.
Exposure to outdoor elements.
Physical Effort
Occasional lifting, carrying, pulling, or running.
Push/pull, lift/carry up to 10 lbs.
May be required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and/or crawl.
Position requires continuous standing and/or walking.
