Xpress Lube Technician
Volkswagen Xpress Lube Technician performs light maintenance and repairs for vehicles as assigned by management, following industry standards and best practices. The primary duties include using industry-standard shop equipment and tools to perform minor repair work or routine maintenance on customer vehicles.
Responsibilities
Documents and performs work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, following all dealership and factory standards
Recommends lubrication, safety inspection, and other related services to customers
Drains oil fromthe crankcase and refills with the required amount of oil
Inspects vehicle fluid levels and replaces or replenishes as necessary
Checks tire pressure and adds air if needed
Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts
Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor
Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins and completes specified training
Keeps the shop area neat and clean
Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals
Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Some post-secondary automotive training
High school diploma or GED
Demonstrated ability to work well with others and be a team player
Results-oriented self-starter
Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
Demonstrated strong technical performance record
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to delivering world-class customer service
Demonstrated desire to learn new processes and adapt quickly
Proficiency in computer skills
Compensation
$15 hourly
