CARE COORDINATOR
Full-Time | Home Care and Health Care Staffing and Scheduling
Reports to Director of Operations, Location: Indianapolis Metro
We are seeking an organized, compassionate, and dependable Care Coordinator to help keep client care running smoothly. This role is responsible for coordinating schedules, communicating with caregivers and clients, responding to staffing changes, and supporting safe, timely, and effective service delivery.
What You'll Do
Coordinate schedules based on client needs and service requests
Fill open cases within established timeframes
Communicate schedule updates to employees, clients, supervisors, and referral sources
Respond to call-offs, emergencies, and last-minute coverage needs
Assign staff according to care plans and direction from licensed professionals
Track overtime, mileage, and time records
Report scheduling changes and client concerns promptly
Help minimize staffing gaps and maintain available on-call coverage
Participate in Orientation of Care Staff
Maintain Client and Caregiver records in compliance with State of Indiana Policies
What We're Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education is a plus
Staffing or scheduling experience preferred, especially in home health, healthcare, or temporary agency settings
Medical terminology or healthcare operations knowledge preferred
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
Comfort using computers, scheduling systems, and electronic documentation tools
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
