Job Description
We need a detail-oriented Attorney for Civil Litigation to join our legal team. In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of civil cases, providing representation across a broad spectrum of practice areas. Your energetic approach and strong negotiation skills will drive successful outcomes for clients while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Hybrid Position
Responsibilities
Manage all phases of civil litigation cases, including case assessment, strategy development, pleadings, discovery, negotiations, and trial preparation.
Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as Westlaw to support case development and legal arguments.
Draft clear, legal documents including motions, briefs, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
Advise clients on various legal issues.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative solutions and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Maintain meticulous case records and manage legal administrative tasks efficiently to ensure smooth workflow.
Experience
Proven experience in civil litigation with a strong understanding of litigation processes from start to finish, including jury trials.
Demonstrated expertise in multiple practice areas including personal injury law, employment law, medical malpractice and negotiation skills.
Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce compelling legal drafts and articulate complex issues clearly.
Strong research capabilities combined with the ability to analyze statutes and case law effectively.
Experience in working in a busy law office environment is desirable.
Experience in Personal Injury Law or Employment Law or Medical Malpractice Law is a plus.
