Job Title: Licensed PreK Teacher
The PreK Teacher is responsible for creating and delivering an engaging, developmentally appropriate educational experience for children ages 3-5 in a public school setting. The teacher will foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development while preparing students for success in kindergarten and beyond.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree
Arkansas Early Childhood Teaching License

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instructional Duties
Plan, develop, and implement lesson plans aligned with Arkansas Early Learning Standards.
Use evidence-based instructional strategies and activities to promote foundational literacy, numeracy, and problem‑solving skills.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with special needs, English language learners, and gifted students.
Foster creativity and exploration through hands‑on, play‑based learning opportunities.
Classroom Management
Establish and maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating learning environment.
Implement positive behavior support strategies to encourage appropriate social interactions and emotional self‑regulation.
Develop routines and procedures that promote independence, responsibility, and respect among students.
Assessment and Documentation
Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and developmental milestones.
Use assessment data to inform instruction and support individual student needs.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and other required documentation in compliance with district and state policies.
Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with other PreK staff, including paraprofessionals and support services personnel, to ensure all students receive a high‑quality education.
Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about student progress and strategies for supporting learning at home.
Participate in professional learning communities (PLCs), faculty meetings, and professional development sessions.
Additional Responsibilities
Adhere to all district policies, state regulations, and ethical standards for educators.
Integrate technology and other instructional tools to enhance learning.
Serve as an advocate for early childhood education and promote family engagement within the school community.
Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
Physical Demands
Frequent walking throughout the school campus
Moderate lifting or carrying (less than 30 pounds)
Sitting for extended periods
Standing for extended periods
Maintain emotional control and exercise reasoning and problem‑solving skills while under stress
Must be able to interpret procedures and analyze data for decision‑making
