Job Title: Production Planner

General Role Description
Plan and schedule short- and long-term manufacturing processes for large industrial power electronics equipment
Role Accountabilities
Plan production tasks and schedules according to client orders
Plan and coordinate production activities to improve runtime, in collaboration with production management
Develop and review production plans with managers for approval
Adjust assembly build plans to ensure production goals are achieved
Report material availability data and conditions affecting production continuity to production team as needed
Review material shortage data and communicate with the Senior Production Planner for resolution
Produce shortage reports and collaborate with Procurement and Warehouse to ensure parts are available to meet production demands
Review capacity demands and provide feedback to the Senior Production Planner to ensure timely deliveries
Monitor inventory levels to meet planned inventory goals
Develop and issue materials and parts requisitions
Release manufacturing work orders to the warehouse for marshalling
Update scheduling spreadsheets and production charts
Utilize ERP system to generate assembly work orders
General Employee Accountabilities
Bring full effort to bear on tasks assigned by manager
Give manager best advice
Give earliest notice when work cannot be delivered as specified
Cooperate and collaborate with peers and interact cross-organizationally as specified by manager

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree or equivalent via education and/or work experience
2 years of production planning experience in an assembly production environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, and an ERP system
Availability to travel, less than 5%, sometimes with limited notice
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Oracle
5 years' total production planning experience in a manufacturing environment
