Cat Scan Technologist (CT), 12hr - Nights

Contributes to the Hospital's mission to care, heal and to excel in service to our community by independently performing Computerized Tomography (CT) examinations meeting ACR imaging standards and maintaining safety standards using state-of-the-art CT scanners, power injectors, PACS, and other related medical imaging equipment. This professional technologist position will have an impact on quality, safety and patient experience.

Qualifications
Education Required : Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology

Education Preferred : Advanced education in CAT scan technology

Experience Required : One year diagnostic technology

Experience Preferred : One year of CT

Other Skills/Knowledge Required : For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team

Licenses, registrations, certifications

ARRT registered in Radiology and CT

Massachusetts State license in Radiology and CT

Job Functions

Perform safety and quality checks, including verifying exam orders.

Complete CT examinations following established exam protocols set by CT radiologist.

Enter examinations correctly, ensuring accurate and informative documentation and appropriate charges.

Electronically send and store images and data appropriately in PACS.

Follow departmental procedures for maintaining records and logs to monitor quality and safety in accordance with departmental policies.

Clean equipment and maintain a safe work environment, presenting the best possible impression of facilities and fostering a culture of safety.

Manage supply and equipment issues to ensure optimum operations, equipment quality and long-term equipment maintenance and life.

Transport and provide ambulatory assistance to patients as necessary.

Educate patients and family members throughout the patient experience.

Communicate effectively with the healthcare team utilizing established handoff procedures. Give and accept respectful feedback to enhance teamwork and the clinical training experience.

Minimize preventable harm events and consistently execute infection control protocols. Incorporate the Culture of Safety tools in daily practice, adhering to quality and safety guidelines and communicating near-miss or potential risks.

Pay Range
$47.00 - $69.84

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
