The HVAC Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and performing repairs on assigned HVAC and Refrigeration equipment and controls, chilled water systems, boilers, and various other mechanical, electrical and building systems to eliminate system downtime and ensure optimal client relations. Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, calibrate and adjust pilots, thermostats, burners, transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches and controls on electrical systems

Installs, maintains and repairs ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment

Identifies maintenance risks on equipment

Diagnoses electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems

Cleans, adjusts and repairs systems, and performs warranty services

Performs emergency repairs promptly and efficiently

Performs preventive maintenance on equipment

Ensures compliance with appliance standards and with the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Completes other duties as assigned

Willingness to Work at Various Heights:

The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in elevated environments. This includes tasks that may require being at different heights for extended periods.

Ladder Climbing:

Regular climbing of ladders is a critical part of this position. The candidate must be capable of safely ascending and descending ladders of various sizes and types.

Utilizing Various Lifts:

Proficiency in operating a range of lifts is essential. This involves maneuvering scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other mechanical devices to reach higher areas.

Qualifications

3–5 years of HVAC maintenance experience (commercial/industrial)

EPA Universal

High school diploma or GED

Strong understanding of building systems and safety protocols

Ability to work at heights and operate various lifts

Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

Skill in using hand and power tools.

Must be authorized to work in the US
