
Engineering Intern - Documentation

Job Responsibilities
Scan, organize, and digitize engineering documents and drawings.
Recreate or update existing drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Maintain accurate file naming and storage in the document management system.
Collaborate with engineers to verify dimensions and specifications.
Assist in quality checks to ensure digital files meet company standards.
Support other engineering documentation tasks as needed.
Supervision
None, Small Team (1-10), Medium Team (10-20) or Large Team (20+).
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum Education:
Currently enrolled in a technical college pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
Minimum Experience:
Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD; strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to work independently and in a team environment; basic understanding of engineering drawings and terminology.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills or Abilities (KSA’s):
Familiarity with document management systems; basic knowledge of manufacturing or facility layouts.
Physical Capacity Profile
Work Environment: Primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse setting.
Climate Control: Work areas may include both climate-controlled office spaces and non-climate-controlled warehouses or production environments.
Mobility: Must be able to move freely throughout the plant.
Standing/Walking: Frequent standing and walking required.
Sitting: Moderate sitting during meetings, planning, and administrative tasks.
Lifting/Carrying: Occasionally lift and carry materials or equipment up to 25 lbs.
Climbing/Bending: Occasional bending, stooping, and climbing (e.g., stairs, equipment platforms).
PPE: Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when in designated areas.
Work Environment
BD is a smoke‑free campus. Smoking and the use of electronic smoking devices, marijuana, or tobacco products are not allowed on BD property, grounds or in the parking areas.
False eyelashes, press‑on fingernails, and jewelry are not allowed on the production floor; any associate wearing dermals will be required to cover them while working on the production floor.
Shoes are required to be steel‑toe and non‑slip for all associates while on the production floor for safety purposes.

800am-500pm M-F (United States of America).
