Responsibilities
Performs entry‑level administrative support work. Tasks include:
Answering the telephone, evaluating requests, routing messages, and serving as receptionist or front‑desk assistant.
Maintaining confidential information and records.
Performing inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment.
Processing routine documents such as vouchers, personnel records, titles or registrations.
General warehousing duties such as stocking, issuing materials and supplies, and maintaining warehouse areas.
Disseminating information to the public.
Maintaining files, records, and logs.
Maintaining radio contact with field units and others.
Making copies and distributing them as instructed.
Opening, sorting, and distributing mail.
Performing preliminary research on assignments and gathering pertinent data.
Performing routine word‑processing duties and conducting quality checks of documents created.
Running errands as required.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a student in high school or another educational institution, or accepted into a college, university, or educational institution.
Must be at least 16 years of age, and currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education, including a trade/vocational school.
Employees at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license may be assigned driving duties and may use power tools.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Subject to environmental conditions; protection from weather but not temperature changes.
Light work: Lift up to 20 lbs at a time and frequently lift or carry objects up to 10 lbs.
Sitting – prolonged periods of time.
Standing – prolonged periods of time.
Repetitive motion – substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
