Job Summary
Pay: $22.00
Hours: 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Days: Monday thru Friday
As a Production Operator at Avient, you will set up and operate equipment to blend, mix, or transport chemicals that make up our customer products, ensuring high quality and cost efficiency. You will also be responsible for machine maintenance, quality control, data recording, and supporting the company's vision and principles while adhering to safety and regulatory rules.

Essential Duties
Sets up, starts, and runs all machinery
Weighs ingredients to meet recipe specifications and inserts into machinery, or ensures the correct ingredients are delivered to the work area and inserts pre-blended materials into machinery
Monitors production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation; troubleshoots equipment and processing issues
Operates machinery to mix, extrude/discharge, or handle materials
May take samples of materials to lab for evaluation and follows instructions on any batch adjustments if needed
Performs all required machine cleaning
Documents work completed, including logs, data reports, procedures, etc.
Qualifications
High School diploma, General Education Diploma (GED) or equivalent training & experience
Work experience in an industrial operations environment preferred
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, or procedure manuals
Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use conversions with different units such as weight, volume, density, distance, etc.
Physical Demands
Requires standing and sitting for extended periods, talking, listening
Must be able to walk, use hands; occasional bending, stooping, climbing ladders and stairs
May occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds
Must frequently communicate and understand work instructions in a loud, fast-paced manufacturing environment
Must detect and respond to safety alarms
Requires use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, hard hat, respiratory protection
Exposure to outside weather conditions is routine; may be exposed to extreme heat and humidity and dust or fumes
