We are seeking a Control Room Operator in Training who’s ready to put your skills to work on projects that matter — and build a career with a company that’s building North America.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain continual observation of operations of all the various processes through recordings and indications of the control system, monitors and visual observation when necessary.
Ensure kiln and mill operation is in compliance with MSHA and company safety standards and in environmental compliance.
Monitor laboratory test results during shift and take corrective action as necessary to meet quality and quantity standards.
Manipulate controls to maintain optimum production rates and to prevent equipment damage.
Detect indications of equipment malfunction and report malfunctions to supervisors.
Maintain records and prepare reports in accordance with established procedures.
Work to keep costs related to work in line with the plant budget and be alert for ways to reduce costs of operations, maintenance and repairs.
Maintain work area in clean and organized condition.
Work overtime and rotating shift schedules assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
