Job Description
How you will make an impact
Maintain the condition of manufacturing equipment, including repairing, replacing failed components, and performing preventive maintenance.
Carry out basic maintenance tasks such as greasing, oiling, grinding, drilling, disassembling and reassembling simple and complex machine parts.
Follow maintenance procedures, maintain proper documentation, drawings, and files; be knowledgeable in hydraulic and pneumatic controls, materials, and components.
Operate, set, regulate and adjust machinery and use hand‑held tools/machinery/instruments, both manual and powered precision and non‑precision.
Develop short and long‑term repairs aimed at improving quality and efficiency.
Support efforts to meet line product Defects Per Million Opportunities, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Scrap goals, and Mean Time Between Failures goals.
Participate in advanced process and quality planning (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities for new equipment.
Electrical and electronic troubleshooting of machine issues.
Diagnose malfunctions in machinery and equipment per manufacturer guidelines, and receive on‑the‑job training.
Interpret schematics, pneumatic & other diagrams.
Collaborate with engineers and managers for coordination of line moves, installations, and improvement activities.
Work cooperatively as a team with engineering, operations, logistics, quality, and environmental health and safety departments.
Establish and maintain productive, effective working relationships with team members and other maintenance personnel.
Mentor and train operations personnel in proper machine maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
Utilize general‑purpose measuring instruments.
Comply with all procedures pertaining to the work environment and assist in designing improvements.
Participate, comply with, and support environmental, health, and safety system requirements.
Perform daily activities safely and effectively using manufacturer guidelines and on‑the‑job training.
Reduce downtime by working efficiently and performing countermeasures aimed at root cause analysis.
Safely execute workplace rules and standards.
Monitor safety, quality, and productivity of production machinery and equipment.
Exercise knowledge of industrial electricity, including single‑phase and three‑phase power, motors, protective devices, and photo sensors.
Complete work order processes documentation for complete work history and parts inventory tracking.
Submit and assist with the creation and resolution of continuous improvements.
The Environment
Safety is the highest priority; adhere to safety procedures such as Lock Out Tag Out and required PPE (Electrostatic Discharge protective shoes, smock, and other PPE).
Work is conducted in a climate‑controlled facility involving robots, pedestrians, and noise.
Role involves various physical tasks, including lifting and operating machinery, with comprehensive training provided.
Shift (B Shift)
4 days on, 4 days off; rotating schedule 8:00 am‑6:30 pm.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
1+ years of prior maintenance or production experience at AUMOVIO.
Excellent mechanical ability; understanding of mechanics and troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics in equipment manuals.
Experience working with machines (pulleys, levers, pneumatics, hydraulics, gears, bearings, lubrication theory, drive components).
Experience with preventive maintenance procedures.
Mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rates, ratios, percentages, and bar graphs.
Computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, e‑mail) and familiarity with database software.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; no visa sponsorship.
AUMOVIO will not pay relocation expenses for this opportunity.
Associates of Applied Science in Electronics or an equivalent technical degree or military training (strong preference).
3+ years of experience troubleshooting electronic and electro‑mechanical systems.
Self‑starting, able to work independently or with a team.
Familiar with electronics such as photo sensors, PLCs, remote I/Os, servo drives, variable frequency drives.
Intermediate knowledge of AC/DC theory, relays, switches, solenoids, fuses, breakers, power generation and distribution (including 48 V 3‑phase), electrical safety, digital multimeter operation, motor theory, and protection.
Intermediate knowledge of production facility systems, including conveyors, robotics, automated storage and retrieval systems, AKL, and automated guided vehicles.
PLC programming skills.
Strong electronics background (reading schematics, test equipment).
Knowledgeable with using computer programs to control electronic or electro‑mechanical devices.
Programming familiarity and use of various software packages.
Willingness to learn and develop in the maintenance field.
Efficient and effective communication skills with peers and staff.
Reasoning ability: apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; solve problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
Required to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted.
Must be able to stand for periods up to 10+ hours.
Must be able to push, pull, reach, twist, turn, stoop, walk, and stand for 10+ hours.
Ability to climb ladders.
Ability to bend at the waist and perform repetitive foot and hand actions.
