JOB SUMMARY and KEY OBJECTIVES
Assist the Warehouse Manager with day‑to‑day activities, emphasizing Shipping, Receiving, Housekeeping and Production support to meet food safety standards and the company’s Stock Rotation Program. Work in a team environment and communicate effectively within the culture and values of BBF MASSACHUSETTS LLC.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Shipping:
Picks and palletizes orders per shipping procedures, ensuring accuracy and Stock Rotation Program protocols.
All orders verified for accuracy prior to shipping.
Prepares all outgoing shipments with appropriate pallet wrapping and labeling for safe transport.
Prepares pallets for shuttle transfer offsite with proper wrapping and labeling.
Drives the company Box Truck between buildings to transfer products and supplies.
Creates necessary paperwork for outgoing shipments or transfers accurately.
Receiving:
Inspects all POs for incoming materials and raw ingredients for accuracy, documentation, quality, pest control, and food‑grade safety.
Implements FIFO practices in labeling, staging, handling, and storage of raw materials from supplier shipments.
Stores incoming materials and ingredients following FIFO, organic segregation, and allergen storage protocols.
Production Support:
Ensures access to all raw materials needed by production staff.
Picks/Kits all recipes and stages for production use.
Replenishes pick locations with appropriate amounts of raw ingredients or packaging materials based on FIFO and production needs (Drops).
Housekeeping and Sanitation:
Maintains an orderly warehouse environment daily.
Follows sanitation procedures: sweeping, trash removal, dusting, floor scrubbing, mopping, and snow shoveling as needed.
Safety:
Complies with all regulatory and company safety policies.
Trained to operate PIT equipment; maintains safe use of industrial equipment.
Reports faulty equipment to the Warehouse Manager or Maintenance.
Completes incident reports and communicates issues promptly to management.
Communication & Teamwork:
Communicates weekly goals and daily progress to the Warehouse Manager.
Communicates effectively with team members, management, and across shifts; submits questions, concerns, or suggestions on safety and product quality.
Participates in department and company meetings.
Supports and promotes company values through interactions.
Requirements
Knowledge/Skills/Experience Requirements:
High School diploma/GED; additional education or training preferred.
Valid MA Driver’s license; willing and able to drive the company delivery truck when required.
Prior warehouse, inventory, and forklift experience.
High proficiency in organizational skills.
Basic math abilities.
Prior experience with MS Office, particularly MS Excel; able to learn new software as needed.
Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
Efficient time management; works independently or as part of a team.
Attention to detail, procedural compliance, problem‑solving skills.
Reliability and flexibility to work occasional Saturdays or unscheduled shifts.
Physical Demands/Conditions:
Lifts 75-pound bags to shoulder height, carries them briefly; lifts up to 10,000 pounds over an eight‑hour shift.
Walking, stooping, lifting, wrapping, sitting, standing, reaching, repetitive movements, kneeling, and crouching.
Works in seasonal temperature variations in unheated
on‑air‑conditioned areas.
Equipment Used:
Electric and manual pallet movers, forklift, automated pallet wrapper, computer, calculator, digital scale.
2nd Shift Information:
Monday - Friday 2:45 PM – 11:20 PM, with occasional overtime. Starting pay rate: $19.00 plus $0.75 shift differential.
