
Staff Accountant

Qualis LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant to supports the accounting and financial reporting functions of a government contracting organization. This role ensures compliance with federal regulations, contract requirements, and company policies, while maintaining accurate financial records and supporting audits.
Essential Duties
Lead AP function of the company to include reviewing and entering AP vouchers, expense report review and vendor payments
Assist with preparing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger
Support month‑end close activities, including account reconciliations
Help track project costs and labor charges in accordance with contract requirements
Ensure accuracy of timekeeping and expense reporting in compliance with company policies
Maintain organized financial documentation for audit readiness
Support accounts receivable processes
Assist in preparing reports for internal management
Provide support during audits, including gathering requested documentation
Other Duties as Assigned
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience:
1-3+ years of government contracting experience
Knowledge of FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements is highly desirable
Experience with Unanet, or similar ERP systems.
Skills:
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Knowledge of GAAP.
