This position supports the Events Team at the SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation while providing opportunities to learn about the many positions in the Foundation, such as Marketing, Donor Relations, Stewardship, and Operations. This internship program offers real-world experience and comes with real-life work expectations including punctuality, commitment, teamwork, and mission sensitivity. It is designed to provide educational, hands‑on experience for college students.

Position Summary:

The Events Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the Foundation's fundraising efforts by assisting with a variety of event-related tasks. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in event planning, non‑profit fundraising, and donor relations within a dynamic and mission‑driven environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with the planning and execution of Foundation fundraising events, including but not limited to: golf tournaments, walks/runs, smaller cultivation events, and a polo match

Conduct research on potential vendors, venues, and sponsors

Assist with event logistics, such as coordinating with vendors and preparing event materials

Maintain accurate records of event details

Assist with various marketing productions (video, event, photo sessions)

Help Event Coordinator with silent auction process, including tracking and verifying auction item inventory, picking up and packaging items, and organizing day of auction logistics

Provide on‑site support at events, including guest assistance and setup/teardown

Assist with post‑event follow‑up, such as sending thank‑you notes and compiling event reports

Organize supplies pre‑ and post‑ event

Perform general administrative tasks as needed, such as data entry, filing, mailings, and answering phone calls.

Other duties as assigned.

This individual is expected to be punctual and dress appropriately for each workday. The position requires a person that is positive, enjoys working with a diverse group of people, and is a cooperative team player with all staff members and event volunteers.
