Role Description
We are seeking a full-time
Cash Receipts Clerk
who will be responsible for processing and recording all incoming payments, ensuring accurate and timely posting to client accounts, and maintaining detailed financial records. This role requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and organizational skill, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process and record daily cash, check, wire, and ACH receipts.
Post payments to client accounts and reconcile deposits to billing records.
Research and resolve payment discrepancies in coordination with billing and collections teams.
Maintain detailed records of deposits, adjustments, and transaction reports.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Communicate with attorneys, clients, and staff regarding payment inquiries.
Support the Accounting Manager and Controller with ad hoc reporting and reconciliation projects.
Qualifications
Associate's Degree or higher in Accounting preferred.
3+ years of accounting or cash receipts experience, preferably at a law firm.
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package commensurate with experience, including 401(k) with profit‑sharing, as well as health, life, and disability insurance. The expected salary range for this position is $45,000–$55,000, depending on experience, education, and credentials.
