This program is part of the Mile High Youth Corps, a nonprofit that provides paid work experience for youth ages 18‑24. Corpsmembers earn a stipend and a scholarship while completing community‑based environmental projects on public lands.

Position Description
The role is team‑based, lasting 11 or 13 weeks. Corpsmembers will receive First Aid/CPR training and additional training in stewardship skillsets such as S‑212 Wildland Fire Chainsaw operation (required for sawyers), trail building and maintenance, habitat restoration, park development, and historic preservation.

Job Duties

Implement land conservation projects under crew supervision.

Operate tools and equipment related to trail building, habitat restoration, and fire suppression.

Participate in First Aid/CPR training and apply safety procedures.

Maintain accurate records of work performed.

Benefits

Stipend of $1,160 biweekly.

Scholarship of $1,565.08–$1,956.35 based on term of service.

Hands‑on training in environmental stewardship and leadership.

Eligibility
Age 18‑24. Candidates should bring dedication to hard work, a positive attitude, and a commitment to a year‑long service experience.
